Three Grade 1 races highlight Keeneland's Fall Stars Saturday

Terry Hamilton’s Heart to Heart, seeking to become the third horse to complete a Keeneland Maker’s 46 Mile (G1) and Shadwell Turf Mile (G1) double in the same year, headlines a field of 14 and two also-eligibles entered Wednesday for Saturday’s 33rd running of the $1 million Shadwell Turf Mile. The Shadwell Turf Mile is the centerpiece of an 11-race program Saturday beginning at 12:40 p.m. ET that features five graded stakes worth $2.35 million. The Shadwell Turf Mile and three other stakes are Breeders’ Cup Challenge races for this year’s World Championships Nov. 2-3 at Churchill Downs.

Raven Run winner Miss Sunset heads Saturday's TCA on blockbuster 11-race card

Alan Klein and Phil Lebherz’s Miss Sunset, winner of the Raven Run (G2) and runner-up by a nose in the Madison (G1) in her two trips to Keeneland, tops a field of 10 fillies and mares for Saturday’s 38th running of the $250,000 Thoroughbred Club of America (G2) going 6 furlongs on the main track. The TCA will go as the seventh race on Saturday’s 11-race program with a 4:05 p.m. ET post time. First post time Saturday is 12:40 p.m. The TCA is a Breeders’ Cup Challenge race with the winner earning a fees-paid berth into the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) to be run Nov. 3 at Churchill Downs.

Keeneland’s 2018 Fall Meet, which will cover 17 days from Oct. 5-27, will feature an expanded viewing audience for its race-day preview show, “Today at Keeneland,” as well as NBC coverage of five Breeders’ Cup Challenge races on opening weekend.
